FDI disseminates policies, standards and information related to many aspects of oral health care. The Resources section of the FDI website aims to provide useful and relevant information for dental practitioners, students, and researchers.

FDI Publications

FDI World Dental Federation produces numerous publications, including a series of journals and books, the Annual Report and a bi-monthly newsletter (Worldental Communiqué). Many of these publications are printed by FDI World Dental Press Ltd.

Policy Statements

FDI Policy Statements are declarations that lay out the current thinking on various issues related to oral health, oral health policies and the dental profession.

Dental Ethics Manual

The FDI Dental Ethics Manual is the result of FDI's involvement and active promotion of dental ethics over many years. This publication emphasises the importance of professional ethics and the need for professional ethical values as a part of the dental education curriculum. It offers itself as a textbook that can be used in both graduate and post-graduate dental programmes.

FDI Two-Digit Notation

The FDI two-digit notation system was developed in 1971 to identify teeth with a number.
