FERNEY COMMUNIQUÉ GETS A FACELIFT
The Ferney Communiqué received a new look and with it, a new name. This bi-monthly newsletter is now officially FDI Worldental Communiqué.
The reason for this change is because the Ferney Communiqué has evolved to be more than just a newsletter about the happenings at the FDI Head Office located in Ferney Voltaire, France. It has expanded into a federation-wide newsletter with information about the latest developments in FDI’s global work, achievements, goals, member activities, congresses and continuing education programmes just to name a few.
“The FDI is excited about the changes and developments taking place with the newsletter,” said Dr Michèle Aerden, FDI President. “As the newsletter evolved to cover news in the dental world beyond the ones taking place at the FDI Head Office, it was time to come up with a name to reflect just that. We have chosen FDI Worldental Communiqué because the name distinguishes itself as an FDI publication, iterates the dental character of the federation and illustrates the worldwide, global reach and coverage of the publication.”
In addition, the Worldental Communiqué also follows the branding of other FDI media, such as the congress newspaper, FDI Worldental Daily, and the FDI website, www.fdiworldental.org.
Instead of its previous PDF format, which was sent as an attachment to your email, you will begin to receive FDI Worldental Communiqué within the body of the email. This will allow you to click through easily for more information on each article and to web sites and pages related to each story. This should also reduce the file size, thus saving space in your inbox and also make it easier for you to share the newsletter with your colleagues and friends.
In addition to the current English, French, German and Spanish versions that are distributed electronically, FDI Worldental Communiqué will also be republished in its entirety in additional languages in Dental Tribunes around the world. FDI Worldental Communiqué will continue to be available in English in the International Dental Journal.
