DENTAL DIVERSITY IN THE LAND OF TOMORROW
FDI World Dental Congress to take place in Dubai
The FDI Annual World Dental Congress (AWDC) will open its doors at the end of October at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Thousands of visitors are already registered from more than 120 countries.
The World Dental Exhibition will be one of the largest in FDI history. The 15,000 sqm of exhibition space will see 340 companies displaying and demonstrating all their latest and proven products. The Scientific Programme, boasting more than 130 invited speakers will present 85 different sessions over four days. In addition to the main programme, 280 international delegates will participate by presenting their own Posters and Free Communications. The FDI Congress will also offer Special Interest Forums hosted by various FDI Standing Committees and stimulating sessions organised by FDI Sections.
The World Dental Parliament will get under way on 20 October at the same venue. Nearly 300 delegates and alternates representing more than 70 countries will meet at the General Assembly. At the General Assembly seven new draft and seven revised FDI Policy Statements will be discussed. A busy election process will take place when 40 nominated candidates vie for positions on various Standing Committees, the FDI Council and the most prestigious positions of all, President-Elect and Treasurer.
