Postponed: Conference for Oral Health in the Americas
Ferney-Voltaire/Washington D.C., 7 December 2007 –The FDI World Dental Federation and the World Health Organization’s Pan American Health Organization (WHO/PAHO) announced today that the Conference for Oral Health in the Americas has been postponed to 6-9 November 2008. The location, however, has not been changed and the conference will continue to take place in Lima, Peru.
The conference is part of the joint activities between the FDI and WHO/PAHO. It will be the first conference of this type ever held in the region convening all relevant partners and stakeholders in oral health in order to discuss the most effective ways and policies for improving oral health of the people of the Americas.
The conference will be attended by Ministers of Health, Chief Dental Officers and representatives from National Dental Associations from all countries of the region including North and South America as well as the Caribbean.
