Selection of FDI aims related to Public Health

To develop, support and promote programmes aimed at the prevention of oral diseases and the improvement of general and oral health.
To provide expertise and advice on (oral) health promotion programmes, suitable for various situations.
To develop collaboration with Member Associations, inter-governmental, governmental and voluntary organisations involved in the promotion of general and oral health.
To promote the delivery of best possible oral health care.
To provide a world forum to exchange knowledge of and experience in all aspects of oral health and oral health care.
To analyse trends and developments of importance to oral health and oral health care world-wide.
To develop, adopt and encourage pro-active programmes to progressively develop oral health care world-wide.
To provide a comprehensive information and communication system for making relevant information available to members, the media and governments.
