Pr. Joseph Sabbagh
He graduated from Saint-Joseph university in Beirut. He holds master in restorative dentistry and endodontics and a PhD in biomaterials from the catholic university of Louvain (UCL), Belgium. In 2020, he obtained an HDR degree (Higher Degree of Research) from the Lebanese University, Beirut.
Currently, he is a Professor, and the former head of department and director of master program of restorative dentistry and Endodontics in the Lebanese university.
His private practice is limited to aesthetic dentistry and endodontics in Brussels and Beirut. He has published more than 25 papers in international peer-reviewed dental journals and has lectured locally and internationally. He has edited and published a book by Springer entitled ¨Bulk Fill Resin composites in dentistry¨ (January 2023). He is a member of several dental associations.

Abstract
Inlay-Onlay, overlays and Endocrown in daily practice
In some clinical situations such as extensive tooth destruction or cusp fractures in posterior teeth, indirect techniques are indicated. They are carried out over two appointments, and are made of ceramics or resin composites. Besides their highly aesthetic properties, indirect posterior restorations allow to treat several teeth in the same time, to obtain an adequate contact point, to reduce polymerisation shrinkage if composite is used, and to enhance the strength of the tooth through the bonding procedure.
Few years ago, the concept of endocrown has been introduced to dentistry representing an alternative to full crown along with CAD/CAM technology.
After Identifying the indications and requirement of partial coverage treatment, the guidelines modalities of preparation, Immediate Dentin Sealing, impression, and temporization of Inlays-Onlays and Endocrowns will be reviewed. The bonding procedure will be detailed, highlighting the most important steps to achieve a successful and long lasting restoration.
