Shanghai 2025

The 3rd edition of the Young Dentists Forum is scheduled to take place on 10 September in Shanghai, within the highly anticipated 2025 World Dental Congress.

Scheduled over a half-day, this must-attend event will empower young dentists to become tomorrow's leaders. 

The programme will feature a captivating keynote lecture by the renowned Dr. Miguel Stanley, who will delve into the moral responsibilities of modern dentistry. Additionally, the esteemed Dr. Luis Anes, winner of the 2025 FDI Young Dentists Speaker Contest, will shed light on the digital revolution transforming the dental field. 

The forum will conclude with a thought-provoking panel discussion to further explore building a strong dental workforce, the importance of early engagement in organized dentistry, and a networking cocktail.

Istanbul 2024

The 2nd edition of the Young Dentists Forum took place in Istanbul on 13 and 14 September and brought together young dentists from across the globe to explore today’s hottest topics in dentistry and to discover professional development opportunities within the profession. 

Programme featured two promising young dentists, selected via an international speaker contest: David Palombo, discussing "Hard and soft tissue deficiencies around dental implants," and Jan Stibal, exploring "Interdisciplinary therapy in adolescents and young adults with developmental dental disorders." and was concluded by a leadership masterclass from Dr. Miguel Stanley.

Sydney 2023

The inaugural edition of the Young Dentists Forum took place on 27 September 2023 during the World Dental Congress (WDC) in Sydney, Australia and offered an unparalleled opportunity to young dentists to get exposure to leaders in the field, gain knowledge of important dentistry-related issues and build a professional network.

thanks to a half-day interactive programme, early- career dentists and dental students got a unique opportunity to find out more about career development opportunities within the dental profession, to develop their professional network, and to learn about the work of FDI.
